Abstract

Folktales indicate customs, culture, ethical values, social behavior, Standard of evil & virtue in every society. Every civilization that has existed across the globe until now has had different folk traditions that evolved from ancient period to the modern age. These folktales were originally passed down orally from generation to generation. The article explores Punjabi Culture through the lens of folktales and visual expressions of Ustad Allah Bux. His paintings are closely linked with the oral tradition, as they visualize what people heard in stories. Punjabi Culture often regarded one of the oldest culture in the world and known for its rich diversity heritage & hospitality. In the context of Punjabi culture, folktales carry deep meaning and highlights the traditions of hospitality, relationships, Kindness and ethical values. By studying these folktales and artworks together, readers gain a better understanding of Punjabi cultural identity and its ongoing relevance in the modern world.
