The representation of women is the main focus of the research. Pakistani dramas are worldwide famous; they can shape people's opinions and perceptions. In Pakistani dramas, women are considered central characters. Many researchers argue about the representation of silent, suppressed women in Tv dramas, but this research focuses on how Pakistani Tv drama industries portray women negatively. The researcher selected two Pakistani dramas, “Mery pas tum Ho’ focus on a woman who cheats on her husband shows disloyalty. The other drama “Nand” focuses on a woman, “Gohar”, who is selfish and controlling, showing jealousy and competition. Negative representation of women affects people’s minds and society. The findings suggest that there are different types of women, some are positive, and some are negative, but in Tv dramas, mostly women are negatively portrayed. The findings also suggest that Tv dramas have a major influence on society. Tv drama industries should also portray women positively and try to break stereotypes against women. Through social media, most likely Tv drama industries can help people change their opinion rapidly.
