The level of physical resources in higher learning institutions is significant in influencing the academic outcomes of the students. The main aim of the study was to examine the availability of physical resources and their role in influencing academic outcomes in the university setting. The research employed a quantitative research approach and relied on data collection through questionnaires administered to the university’s student population. The physical resources that were targeted in the study included classroom facilities, library services, information and communication technology (ICT) resources, and digital learning resources. The descriptive analysis showed that the majority of the students perceived the availability of physical resources in the classroom, such as seating arrangements, cleanliness, lighting, and maintenance, as satisfactory and supportive of the learning process. The library facilities, such as physical and human resources, were also satisfactory, although limitations were observed in the availability of digital resources. The availability of ICT resources, such as access to the internet, computer laboratories, and access to academic platforms, facilitated academic performance and improved efficiency in learning, although limitations were occasionally cited in the reliability of the internet. The findings showed that physical resources in the learning environment are significant in encouraging and improving student engagement.
